Train to Teach | Alliance of Leading Learning

Would you like to get into teaching or upskill to a leadership role in a school?

Shropshire and Telford Education Partnership in collaboration with the Alliance of Leading Learning are holding a FREE open event on Thursday 1st December 2022, from 4pm to 6pm at the Marches School in Oswestry for those interested in a career in teaching. The afternoon aims to raise awareness of the teacher training opportunities available across early years, primary and secondary phases of education as well as the programmes accessible to support delegates onto a school leadership role.

The Alliance of Leading Learning is one of the most experienced providers of teacher training in the West Midlands, boasting over twenty years of innovative and successful programmes. The Alliance also makes up the professional training arm of the Marches Academy Trust, a growing Trust which currently supports ten schools across Shropshire. The Alliance of Leading Learning working with the Shropshire and Telford Education Partnership combines in-depth knowledge and joint enterprise to remain at the forefront of developing the highest quality of teacher training, in order to ensure life changing impact on children and young people.

Kate Aspinall responsible for coordinating the Initial Teacher Training (ITT) said; “Our open day will be a great opportunity for anyone to come along and meet the team involved in ITT and National Professional Qualifications (NPQs). It will be a fantastic chance for prospective trainees to have an informal chat about how they might get into teaching, or if they are already working in education, we can provide advice about the programmes available to help them progress into a leadership role”. Gemma Hargreaves who is the Strategic Lead for the delivery of NPQs in Shropshire and Telford added; “We will have a team of facilitators on hand to tell attendees more about the new NPQs and our friendly team will be happy to talk applicants through the application process and funding options available”.
