Longlands Primary School and Nursery, alongside Grange Primary School and Nursery, have earned a coveted spot among 100 schools chosen to participate in the ‘Get Cycling’ programme, a collaboration between Shropshire Council and the Bikeability Trust.

This pilot scheme, fully funded by the Department for Transport and backed by the Department for Education, aims to equip teachers with the knowledge to deliver basic off road cycle skills as part of PE lessons. Additionally, both schools will receive cycling equipment and other essential resources to promote safe and fun cycling within their communities.

We are delighted to be taking part in this initiative, which promises to help children develop the skills and confidence to navigate the roads safely.

Let’s get pedalling, Longlands and Grange!
