Oakmeadow Primary School joined Marches Academy Trust in May 2020, in the midst of the global Coronavirus pandemic. The school had seen success on its own, but wanted to join the Trust based on a mutual sharing of values.
Continued growth and success
Oakmeadow Primary School is a large, successful primary school with a Good Ofsted judgment. After making the decision to join a Multi Academy Trust, the school chose to join Marches Academy Trust as it felt the values of the Trust were the best fit with its own ethos. Since joining the Trust, the school has continued to excel and strengthen. The Headteacher of the School was appointed to a Trust Executive role in 2021, allowing for the transition of the Deputy Head into the Headship role at the school.
The continued successes of the school have enabled the Trust and the school to benefit from retaining and promoting talented leaders, securing the future of the school. Oakmeadow School has benefitted from Trust wide CPD programmes and conferences, and members of the school community have led on the delivery of some of these programmes, sharing their own knowledge and experience within the education sector. The school has received support from the Trust’s capital funding to improve external facilities for children in the EYFS stage.
